Clinics

BABY CLINICS
Tuesdays 4.00pm-5.30pm alternate weeks and every Wednesday 9.30am - 12.00pm.

If you are unable to make an appointment in these clinics, an altertnative appointment can be arranged. Please note that these clinics are for immunisations only.

A well baby clinic is held with the health visitor for weighing and advice at High Trees Children's Centre, which is in the grounds of Hertford Regional College.

Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings is for immunisations only here at The Maples. No weighing is available at these sessions.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENTS
Health visitor/doctor by appointment only.

NEW PARENT AND BABY GROUP
Thursday 1.00 - 3.00pm at Waltham Cross Clinic Tel: 01992 621613.

ANTENATAL CLINIC
There is an antenatal clinic here at the surgery with the midwife, on Mondays and Thursdays.

DIABETIC CLINIC
This is held on a Wednesday afternoon.

ASTHMA/COPD CLINICS
Appointments for asthma/COPD clinics can be made on a Monday afternoon.

MINOR SURGERY AND JOINT INJECTIONS
Certain surgical procedures are performed on Tuesday afternoons in the surgery. Times and appointments will be arranged after assessment by one of the doctors. Joint injections may be done at this time, or by arrangement with your doctor.

COILS/IMPLANON
Dr Cadman can now fit and remove Implanon. If you are interested, please enquire at reception. Dr Cadman and Cherry Francis (nurse practitioner) provide a coil fitting service. Please ask at reception for details.

FLU VACCINATION CLINIC
These vaccinations are particularly recommended for patients over 65 years as well as patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, asthma or diabetes and also residents of nursing and rest homes. These clinics are usually in September/October and appointments can be made by telephone or at the reception desk.

TRAVEL VACCINATIONS
Practice nurse by appointment.

SMOKING CESSATION
We offer a smoking cessation service. Please enquire at reception.

HEALTH ADVICE
Medical examinations (non-NHS) are available with the doctor; please note there is a fee payable for private medicals.
